Hello Birthday month 2020!

This is the first time in many years, I am not excited for my birthday. I won’t be buying any clothes, meeting my family or friends, dining out or enjoying our time in nature. This is the first year we Indians will be locked inside our houses.

How do I feel about it?

If I were 16 I would be irritated, grumpy and all things that a teenager would feel. But as a Millennial who has no hopes from the world because she has had so many quarter life crisis that her life has now become a crisis. That woman feels nothing. Because isn’t 20s all about being an adult?

Right now I feel okay as long as my mom and I make home made Pani poori’s for my birthday. No I don’t want a birthday cake, or a dress, or gifts. I can talk to family and friends whenever I want to on call. This Indian Millennial just needs her Paani Poori now. I have my priorities set. Paani Poori = a very Happy Birthday!!!
